Welcome to the Wehr Lab

We explore a wide range of freshwater ecosystems, including rivers, lakes, and wetlands.  We focus on primary producers: algae, bryophytes, and aquatic vascular plants: their diversity, nutritional ecology, their roles in food webs, and their interactions with bacteria, grazers, and other plants.  We are also studying the causes and consequences of eutrophication and cyanobacteria blooms.
